Description: In this study we documoented the entire shoreline of the Georgia AIWW (380 kms), five major rivers (550 kms; the Savannah, Ogeechee, Altamaha, Satilla and St. Marys), eight salt-marsh estuaries (500 kms; the Wilmington, Little Ogeechee, Medway, South Newport, Sapelo, Brunswick, and Crooked Rivers and White Oak Creek) and the upland shoreline of three smaller rivers ( 70 kms; Barbour Island, Julienton and Darien) in coastal Georgia using a georeferenced digital video mapping system. Video mapping shoreline enables a geospatial resource assessment, and creates a "snapshot in time" to establish a baseline for any future changes.
